North Fork Foodie Tour
Each year, the North Fork Foodie Tour, hosted by the North Fork Reform Synagogue, offers a glimpse into the many food and drink producers in the area, often with some great free samples and tastings. This year’s 18th annual tour of farms, restaurants, breweries, wineries and distilleries takes place on Sunday, Sept. 8. Tickets are $30, which grants access to any tour on the provided map. The Guys
On Sept. 11, the Corchaug Repertory Theatre and CAST (53930 Main Road, Southold) present this free performance of “The Guys,” a play by Anne Nelson, about a firefighter who is tasked with eulogizing his eight comrades who perished in the World Trade Center. Historic Jamesport House Tour
On Sept. 14, head to Jamesport Meeting House (1590 Main Road) to start your tour of 16 historic homes. The event is a fundraiser for the Jamesport Meeting House. $60 in advance and $75 on the day of the tour, visit jamesportmeetinghouse.org for more information.
East End Seaport Museum Maritime Festival
This annual Greenport Village tradition, hosted by the East End Seaport Museum, is a weekend full of nautically themed activities to usher in the fall season on the North Fork. It all kicks off one week earlier with the Land & Sea Gala on Friday, Sept. 13, followed by the two-day street fair on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 and 22. This rain-or-shine event includes the colorful Merry Merfolk Parade, boat races, vendors, classic boats on display and live music throughout the weekend. 22nd Annual Long Island Garlic Festival
Waterdrinker’s (4560 Sound Ave., Riverhead) annual Garlic Festival comes to Riverhead on Sept. 14 and 15. 21st Annual Latino Film Festival of the Hamptons

Hallockville Country Fair
On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28 and 29, the historic Hallockville Museum Farm (6038 Sound Ave., Riverhead) will host its annual Country Fair. This event includes tractor pulls and hayrides by the Long Island Antique Power Association, vendors with handcrafted wares, farm animals, tours of the Hallock Homestead and Cichanowicz Farmhouse, quilting exhibits, a farmers market, food trucks, live music and children’s activities. ‘Couples Therapy’
